We originally booked our room using points and they treat you like they don’t owe you anything if you use points but points have to come from somewhere by spending your own hard earned money our first room, the air conditioner drain was leaking all over the floor and it smelt like mold and mildew impossible to sleep. They switched us to a different room and from the picture shown here it looks like someone defecated on the bed. We were told after coming 12 hours, we had to wait until 11 o’clock in the morning to talk to the manager and cancel our plans if we wanted resolution they made sure and make us wait and did it on their schedule we were told that we either could stay in the mold and Meldew room or the defecation room or nothing when we get ready to leave The lady at the front desk wasn’t willing to do anything for us after spending 80,000 points. She gave us 5000 points back, which is ridiculous. keep in mind it was 1 AM that morning and they was going to kick us out if we didn’t accept one of those rooms. The front desk is not helpful at all. The manager asked why we didn’t leave at 1 AM.

I arrived at the hotel on July 21, 2026 with a pre- booked reservation. Upon arrival, the shower doors were broken. I reported this to the front desk who told me the repairman would not arrive till the next day. Long story short, the doors were repaired and I finally was able to take a shower at 11am on july 22. I wanted my room to be comped for july 21 since the shower was not functional. I had over an 8 hour car ride n had to wait till next day to take a shower. No comp was provided. How was the shower even cleaned if the doors were broken. And no hotel staff checked this room prior to my arrival? This is extremely poor management and holiday inn should be embarrassed. I requested to speak with the manager. The front desk told me he would contact me. He never did. I also opened a complaint at IHG wherein they said the manager would contact me. Again he did not. Holiday inn does not care about their guests. They only want your money! Dont bother sending me a cookie cutter response like I see on all your reviews. Actions speak louder than words!

Great service last night/am checkout-not so much. Thanks you Front desk manager Lucky! She was very nice in answering all our questions and assuring us that our requests were valid and could be worked out. She was patient and compassionate in her level of service. Not that often you get someone at a chain hotel desk be that accommodating. We were Lucky to have such great service!! However, when leaving in the 6am for checkout, staff not so accommodating, we were checking out to move closer to VA beach but she was a bit miffed because she already did her morning count and us leaving ,threw off her system And when asking about one night stay she wasn’t that nice in explaining the hotel charges, Never said thank you for staying and her demeanor was as if I was bothering her. In addition the room had this feeling of wetness in the air and the blankets and sheets felt wet all night. I’m still tired as I write this because I felt wet all night, I’m gonna need a nap,lol. Even the morning staff, no one said hello, how can I help you as I made coffee, they all looked like they hated being there. The showers were not as clean as well. Overall not a great stay.
